Springfield + Higher Education (part 2) – 81 institutions

Wow!  There are over 80 colleges, universities and institutes within about a 90-min (70 mile) drive of Springfield with 280,000 students.

Springfield offers a large number of colleges and universities within a short drive from the community.  In fact, it is one of the most education dense areas in the country.

Here is a listing of many of the institutions of higher education, in order of drive time from downtown Springfield.  The second column indicates how many students are at that institution.  The final column provides an estimate of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) students.

Each listing also provides a link to that institution’s webpage.
