Below is a list a projects that were announced, completed, or recorded in the year given that gives a sense of the economic development activity over the past nine years.  Sources for this list include the Ohio Department of Development’s Private Investment Survey Lists (see end for links), building permits, the CIC’s own database of projects, as well as public announcements and media coverage (print and social). 

The Springfield OH MSA has had over $1 billion in investment announced over the last decade, with the majority — over $735 million — of that in the last 3 years.  Over 5200 jobs created this decade; over 3100 during the past three years.  This is encouraging indeed.
