Three upcoming international events

Three upcoming international events that the Global Markets Division is involved with:

1.  TODAY, Friday, October 15, is the final day to register for the 5th Annual International Trade Conference – Selling to Brazil, China, and India, being held in Cincinnati on October 19, 2010.

The Xavier University, Southern Ohio District Export Council (SODEC) International Trade Conference is in its 5th year and is organized by U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service – Cincinnati. It is the region’s largest international event of its kind. A new addition to the conference is the International Business Awards Luncheon, honoring regional companies that excel in the international marketplace.

2.  The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTC) in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Development’s Global Markets Division invites you to attend an Update on the China Market: Challenges and Opportunities for Ohio Companies being held in Columbus on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

The session will feature leading experts on Hong Kong and China that will give an overview of the market, a luncheon program, and Ohio companies sharing their experiences on doing business in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

3.  The Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 5th Anniversary Celebration – Building a Stronger Relationship Between China and the Midwest, featuring Chairman, President and CEO Jim Rogers from Duke Energy, on November 8, 2010 in Cincinnati.

Jim Rogers’ keynote address will focus on Energy and the Environment : Challenges and Opportunities for U.S. China Cooperation.
