NEW: State of Ohio International Office Managing Directors’ Annual Ohio Week: During the week of September 20th, the Managing Directors of Ohio’s 11 international trade and investment offices will be in Ohio.  During this week, the Global Markets Division will be conducting one-on-one company meetings at three different locations – Cincinnati on Monday the 20th, Akron on Thursday the 23rd, and in Columbus on Friday the 24th.  Further information on these events will be announced soon.  In the meantime, if your company is interested in meeting with any of the Managing Directors, please contact the following:

The State of Ohio and Saitama Prefecture Sister-State 20th Anniversary Celebration will be held at the Statehouse Atrium in Columbus on September 10, 2010. September-November 2010 – The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has designed its Japan Invitation Program to enable U.S. emerging technology companies to travel to Japan to participate in regional industry exhibitions. For 2010, the theme of these exhibitions is Green Technology. September 27-30, 2010 – Italian renewable energy company Relight will be in the United States as part of a trade and investment mission organized by the Italian Trade Commission. October 9, 2010 – The 1st Huntington Park Culture Festival will take place from 12:00PM – 6:00PM as a day of celebrating the different cultures found in Columbus and Central Ohio. October 24-27, 2010 – The National District Export Conference is entitled “Capitalizing on America’s Export Advantages: Green and Innovation” and will feature world-renowned businesspersons and high-level government officials. Billed as the largest North America conference in 2010 devoted to exporting, the Conference is expected to attract more than 500 attendees. There will be a private briefing in Windsor, Canada to attendees by the Canada Border Services Agency, as well as opportunities to meet with Canadian businesses. October 25- 27, 2010 – The Ohio Economic Development Association 2010 Annual Summit will be held at The Conference Center at NorthPointe in Columbus. The theme is “Connecting for Success” and will offer opportunities to meet with workforce development, state leadership, and economic development professionals. November 17, 2010 – International American companies are no longer comprised of only US perspectives.
