Event: Hartman Rock Garden Re-Opening

The Friends of the Hartman Rock Garden will be holding a grand re-opening of the rock garden on Saturday June 26th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Kohler Foundation purchased the rock garden in 2008 and began a year-long restoration. In December 2009, the Kohler Foundation passed the stewardship of the garden over to the Friends of the Hartman Rock Garden which consists of the Springfield Foundation, the Springfield Museum of Art and the Turner Foundation. The rock garden in located at 1905 Russell Avenue in Springfield, Ohio. Admission is free, and tours will be provided.

About Hartman Rock Garden
The Hartman Rock Garden was created by Harry “Ben” Hartman from 1932 through 1944. This remarkable garden includes over 250,000 individual stones that combine a mixture of history, religion and depression-era pop culture.
