Resurrection Dance Theatre of Haiti to perform in New Carlisle

I enjoy the New Carlisle Rotary

I try to get out to the New Carlisle rotary as often as I can.  The food is great.  Usually over 50 people show up, and the networking is good, too.  I was able to touch base with Bob Bender, the former city manager, who is now the Facilities Manager for the Clark County Board of Developmental Disabilities as well as Debbie Winters, the Store Manager for the Honeybaked Ham store in Springfield (who does great catering, by the way), and many others.  There is a great spirit of camaraderie and friendliness that is enjoyable.  I gave a “happy buck” lamenting the loss of my beloved Steelers to the Bengals.

Haitian dancers a surprise

Everything was as normal until the program.  The Resurrection Dance Troupe (or at least part of them) performed three numbers and got the audience involved at the end – including me.  The performance was outstanding.  The drums mesmerizing.  The movement strong, passionate, and joyful.  They will be performing at 2pm at the Heritage of Flight Festival (Stage 2 as I understand) and at 6pm in the evening  at the Honey Creek Presbyterian Church.  Enjoy the video!
