Property & income tax table – Springfield OH MSA

The following is an economic development property tax table.  It is designed to allow one to quickly determine what the commercial/industrial tax implications are with a piece of property.  First, one finds out the tax district by identifying the parcel on the County GIS search system: http://www.gis.co.clark.oh.us/Search.aspx.  The first three numbers of the Parcel ID are the tax district.  Once, you identify the taxing district, you will see what township and/or municipality it is in, any municipal income tax (MITC), any school district income tax (SDIT), as well as the effective real property tax rate for commercial/industrial and whether or not Enterprise Zone (EZ) is available.  Some townships have parts that are included in the EZ and some that are not.  Their EZ status is, therefore, TBD (to be determined).  If there are any questions, please contact David Zak at dzak@greaterspringfield.com or by cell at (937) 631.5315.  (Note: to calculate the bottom line real property tax rate take the effective millage (given) x 0.1% x 35% x property value as listed on GIS system.)
